Exciting new project

Posted 10/10/2016

Cyril Lawson ColeCyril Lawson ColeI may have quiet but I've not been idle.  I'm honoured to have been invited to contribute a chapter to a very exciting project.  I can't divulge more at this stage apart from that it's a collaboration with an incredibly interesting group of individuals. I continue to not quite believe what an astonishing journey this little book has taken me on.

For now please spare a birthday thought for Cyril who was born 124 years ago on this day, the tenth of October.  May he rest in peace.

Best wishes to all, Tina

Armistice Day 2015

Posted 11/11/2015

Today is Armistice Day and yesterday I was lucky enough to look at and hold one of the poppies from last year’s famous exhibition at the Tower of London.   Thank you so much to the lovely friend who showed it to me.  I had seen them in their thousands on the television but up close I was impressed by the quality and craftsmanship.  The exhibition was a

Letter from Buckingham Palace

Posted 31/10/2014

Something happened a few weeks ago that was very exciting.  It all started when I read this article and it mentioned that the Duchess of Cornwalls family had lost three brothers in the First World War.  On the spur of the  moment I decided to pop a copy of my book into the post to her but didn't expect to hear anything back as the Royal Family receive overwhelming amounts of mail every day.

A few weeks later I received a letter in the mail from Buckingham Palace.  Inside was a lovely personal note written to me from HRH Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.  It meant a lot to me that she took the time to do this.  Letter from Buckingham PalaceLetter from Buckingham Palace
